Idaho Orchestra Institute

IOI 2023 will be held from June 25 through July 1.

The summer of 2023 will be the seventh year of the Idaho Orchestra Institute. This six day intensive experience is designed for college and advanced high school musicians. Led from the podium by Robert Franz, with a focus on developing the complete artist, young musicians will explore a major orchestral masterpiece while developing a deeper connection with their core artist. Through rehearsals, sectionals, daily yoga and open dialogue students will have the opportunity to delve into repertoire that will establish strong performance practices for years to come. This summer, we will explore Tchaikovsky Symphony #2.

Our internationally renowned faculty will coach and mentor participants throughout the week. Time will be set aside to connect with and learn from these leading professionals.

The week will culminate in a performance back in Boise on Saturday, July 1.
